Baton Rouge is known for being abode to Louisiana State University (or LSU, for short), and certainly, it has a strong educational sector – but it’s also known for offering many opportunities in the technology, medical, and research fields. Baton Rouge isn’t all business, though – it’s also plenty of fun. There’s a thriving arts and theatre scene here, and plenty of shops, restaurants, and recreational activities to enjoy too.     Rainbow Connection: Baton Rouge LGBTQ+ and Allies Meetup

    Rainbow Connection is a safe space in Baton Rouge (and the surrounding area) for the LGBTQIA+ community, straight allies, and anyone in between to meetup and connect. This group is to make friends and find solidarity amongst our retain. Wherever you are on your journey - you are welcome. Whether you identify as straight, exploring, "somewhere on the flag", or a "Kinsey 6".
    Rainbow Connection also serves as a networking tool, as well as a support and advocacy platform. We accept and encourage the voices of all queer people who want to grow in a progressive and positive manner. We stand by consent culture, queer gender identities, queer sexuality, sex workers, alternative physical ability, and neurodiversity. As not all of our members may be "out" to their friends and family, please remember that discretion is necessary unless otherwise agreed upon.
