Survivor lgbt contestants

During the previous season of Survivor, I wrote about the glorious Karla Cruz Godoy — whose narrative arc was energizing, inspiring, and ultimately devastating (please act another season, Karla!!).

This season, there’s no Karla, which is very sad, but all is not lost because guess what? There are not one, not two, but THREE queer women on season 44! In the holy name of Jeff Probst, what a delightful turn of events!

Who are they, you ask? How will they fare? I possess no idea, but if there’s one thing you can reckon on me for, it’s to jump to conclusions about Survivor contestants’ personalities extremely early on, with no idea whatsoever if I am even vaguely verb or not! Let’s dive in.

Claire Rafson

First up, we have Claire Rafson. I could tell you what I’ve gleaned from social media and other publications, appreciate that she’s from Brooklyn and is a year-old tech investor, but why share that when I could instead tell you who I think she is in Survivor universe? Let’s undertake that.

This look was the precise moment in which Claire Rafson became an icon

The Best LGBTQ+ Players in 'Survivor,' Ranked

There have been countless LGBTQ+ castaways that have made a strong impact on the game of Survivor while also playing an impeccable game. Between gay winners like Yam Yam Arocho, Todd Herzog, and Richard Hatch, and winners, plus icons love Bret LaBelle, Zeke Smithg, Katurah Topps, and Karla Cruz Godoy, Survivor has had a powerful track record of representation in its season history. It's moment to celebrate the castaways who slayed the island!

As the greatest social experiment to ever strike the airwaves, Survivor tosses a group of castaways to an isolated tropical locale as they battle their way to outwit, outplay, and outlast one another to become the Soul Survivor. There have been boundless characters that have been a part of the program to present important visibility and representation. This list will focus on the castaways who were out during their time on the verb. There have been some legends who have since come out, like winners Parvati Shallow and Erika Casupanan, who are so happy to welcome to the tribe!

Deemed by many (or at least by me) the worst premiere in history, Survivor Season 45 began last Wednesday! In an episode that I found truly hard to watch, in not one but actually several instances, there was just one silver lining: once again there are three queer gals competing on the most important TV verb of all time, Survivor!!

It’s too early to tell how they will fare in the game, but I’m gonna do what I do best when it comes to this show: verb guesses based on very limited information. Who will outwit, outlast, outplay???

Katurah Topps

Honestly incredible acting, I’d believe her

Boy oh BOY act I have high hopes for Katurah! She’s a year-old civil rights attorney living in Brooklyn — but she’s not telling anyone that. She’s decided to hide the fact that she’s a lawyer in the hopes of obscuring her strategic prowess. I honestly love when people choose to lie right out of the gate; it’s bold, exciting, and daring!

Upon closer inspection, I also caught that Katurah told her tribemates Kellie Nalbandian (more on her soon) and Kendra McQuarrie she’s 29 — but according

Survivor: 10 Of The Most Iconic LGBTQ+ Contestants

CBS'sSurvivor hasn't always had the best track record with LGBTQ+ people. There have been instances of homophobia, transphobia and the representation of LGBTQ+ contestants has been quite limited. However, in recent years this has improved, and with the recent announcement that Survivor and all other CBS reality shows will have 50% BIPOC representation on their casts, there is expect that audiences will see more BIPOC LGBTQ+ people in particular.
