In Winston-Salem, this is especially true in the Arts District, home of Single Brothers, Silver Moon Saloon and the newly opened Hel’s. It’s also where Satellite — downtown Winston-Salem’s first openly gay bar — had drag shows 25 years ago at the corner of 7th and Trade streets.
