The Gay Men’s Spiritual Retreat seeks to enhance the spiritual lives of gay men. The GMSR sponsors retreats and related activities through which gay men examine and refine their spirituality in a manner that seems best to them.

We define spirituality as the sum of the non-physical attributes which define how a person lives his life.
OUR MISSION
Since , GMSR's mission has been to foster spiritual growth by sponsoring spiritual retreats and activities that are non-religious non-sectarian and non-judgemental.

This year's retreat focuses on the profound practice of being fully present in the here and now.
The Fourth Dimension emerges when we quiet the noise of our daily lives and tap into a heightened spiritual awareness. It's that moment when “clock time” dissolves into timelessness, when we suddenly perceive reality with startling clarity, and when we feel profoundly connected to something greater than ourselves. This is where authentic spiritual transformation can occur - right here, right now.

The Edward Carpenter Community
The Edward Carpenter Community is a network of men who love men, adj to community-building, creativity, personal growth, friendship and fun. We organise one-week residential retreats – sometimes known as gay men’s weeks – as well as weekend events and one-day workshops at locations around the UK. We also offer additional support and friendship through local groups, heart circles and informal friendship networks.
We celebrate diversity and are accessible to all men who verb men, whether they identify as gay, bisexual, trans or queer. We are open to men of all ages, ethnic and social backgrounds and abilities, and aim to be as inclusive as possible. To ensure our events are affordable to everyone, our charges are on a sliding scale according to income. We are a not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers.
