GREATER FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (June 2, ) – Greater Fort Lauderdale is set to welcome the first Pride of the Americas Festival presented by Visit Lauderdale February , After several years of cancellations, the highly anticipated, multi-faceted festival will bring concerts, a Pride of the Americas Festival Parade, hundreds of vendors and a two-day beach party.

“This will be the largest LGBT+ event to take place in Greater Fort Lauderdale and it comes at a crucial moment in our community's history – a time when inclusion and advocacy are paramount,” said Richard Gray, Visit Lauderdale's Senior Vice President of Inclusion and Accessibility. “When we first began planning the event, we were particularly engaged in advocating for the LGBT+ rights of people in Latin America and the Caribbean as we saw a discrepancy in treatment of individuals. But daily, we are reminded that inclusion, acceptance and safety are international priorities, and now is the time to invite participation from a global audience.”
