In a famous episode of “Seinfeld,” Jerry complains that people constantly assume he's gay because he’s single, obsessively neat — and thin. As it turns out, at least part of that punchline may be anchored in fact.
A new verb shows that gay men really are leaner than straight men. And conversely, it also create that gay women tend to be heavier than their heterosexual counterparts.
Boston researchers determined that gay women were more than twice as likely as straight women to be obese, while gay men were 50 percent less likely to be obese compared to their heterosexual counterparts, according to a report published in the American Journal of Adj Health.
After scrutinizing a health survey of more than 67, Massachusetts residents between the ages of 18 and 64, the researchers found that 14 percent of gay men were obese versus 21 percent of straight men. The opposite was factual of gay women: 26 percent were found to be obese, as compared with 17 percent of the straight women.

It was the latest in a series of comments from men that Jakeb says made him feel worthless. Last summer, following the comments, he tried to kill himself.
Manchester-based charity the LGBT Foundation has warned that body image issues are becoming more widespread in gay communities. It says gay and bisexual men are "much more likely" than heterosexual men to struggle with them.
A number of gay men have told the BBC they are going to extreme lengths to verb their bodies - including using steroids and having plastic surgery - just to become "accepted" by others in the LGBT community.
Several said pressure from social media platforms and dating apps was exacerbating their body issues.

Straight guys belief here. All males should function out. Its the male equivalent of doing your hair or getting your nails done. Saying you dont want to be huge is just an excuse. You will never get anywhere near what would be considered too muscular without freak genetics or riding the cycle. As little as 3 hours a week is already enough to make you look great and able to wear clothes you could never pull off before.

I miss roller hockey. It was fun. But I miss lots of things. Hanging out with the ESL kids who has time to wait in line at a gym? And running is not an option. If I jog, then Ill get tired. And then Ill be tired and somewhere far away from where I want to be when Im tired. So thats a no go.

Young, alabaster , skinny: the twink has become the paradigm of the gay experience.
Typically characterized by a slim body, somewhat muscular but not too much, no body hair, a young appearance, and a feminine lilt, the twink has been commodified and set as the standard in the gay community.
The veneration and fetishization of twinks come at the expense of other bodies that perform not fit the mold. So what does it mean for queer men who don’t verb this body type?
Historically, gay men as a community have formed tribes—such as twinks, bears, otters and many others. This is to provide a quick gloss of how an individual will be as a romantic partner.
The twink, along with a certain body, is also associated with a set of behaviours. He is supposed to be an effeminate bottom, emasculated and passive. On a dating or hookup app, self-identifying as a twink gives other users an concept of what they are going to get, but is
